AS & A Level History

AS & A Level History offers a flexible and comprehensive curriculum that focuses on developing lifelong academic skills while deepening students’ understanding of historical periods, themes, and events. The course builds upon knowledge gained at IGCSE or O Level and encourages learners to think critically about the past.

Students studying History at AS & A Level explore concepts such as cause and consequence, continuity and change, similarity and difference, and the use of historical evidence. Learners can choose from European, American, or International history pathways, allowing them to tailor their studies to their interests.
